Troubleshooting Example
The SCF command
status su $tsp1.#z00000p,detail
displays the following:
The TC-Substate field in this screen shows that Layer 4 is enabled to wait for a transport
connection. It also shows, however, that Layer 4 is not yet in the data transfer state,
which is necessary to establish a session connection. Nevertheless, there must have been
a transport connection before the CN-SPDU could arrive. Therefore, you can only
assume that the Layer 4 connection was established temporarily, and that the refuse
SPDU response resulted in the Layer 4 subdevice being disconnected.
Step 3 Alternative: CHECK SU
Instead of using the STATUS SU commands shown earlier in this step, you can use the
CHECK SU command. For example, both the following commands return similar
information:
status su $tap1.#z00000p, detail
check su $tap1.#z00000p, detail
Similarly, both the following commands also return the same information:
status su $tsp1.#z00000p, detail
check su $tsp1.#z00000p, detail
