SCF Commands for PROCESS Objects
ALTER Changes process attributes. You can alter process attributes only
if the process is in the STOPPED state. you can alter NSP, TSP,
and TAPS processes.
DELETE Causes the OSI manager to delete configuration information for
the process. A process must be in the STOPPED state before you
can delete it. you can delete NSP, TSP, and TAPS processes.
INFO Displays the attributes of a process. The set of attributes
displayed depends on the process type. You can collect
information on NSP, TSP, TAPS, and OSI manager processes.
LISTOPENS Lists the openers of a process. You can collect information on
TAPS and OSI manager processes.
NAMES Lists the names of subsystem processes. You can collect
information on NSP, TSP, TAPS, and OSI manager processes.
START Changes the state of a process to STARTED. You can start TSP,
TAPS, and OSI manager processes. The OSI manager process
must be running before you can use this command. TSP and
TAPS processes must have been previously added.
STATS Displays the statistics counters for TAPS and OSI manager
processes.
STATUS Displays status information for NSP, TSP, TAPS, and OSI
manager processes.
STOP Changes the state of a process to STOPPED. You can stop TSP,
TAPS, and OSI manager processes. If the process is currently
opened by an application, this command fails.
STOPOPENS Prevents a process from accepting open requests from
applications. Use this command for TAPS processes.
SUSPEND Changes the state of a process to SUSPENDED. You can suspend
TSP, TAPS, and OSI manager processes.
TRACE Starts or stops tracing on TAPS and OSI manager processes.
VERSION Displays the version identifier for TAPS and OSI manager
processes.
Caution. A STOP command to the OSI manager process differs considerably from a STOP
command to a lower-layer object such as a LINE object. Use this command on the OSI
manager process only as a last resort. If you issue a STOP command to the OSI manager
process, the process disappears. Then you must rerun the OSI manager process and start it.
