SCF Commands for SU Objects
SCF Commands for SU Objects
You can use the following SCF commands with the SU object:
Names for SU Objects
TAPS and TSP SU object names are requested by the OSI manager process. An SU
object name consists of two parts:
The name of the process in which the subdevice has been created
The subdevice ID defined by the OSI manager process.
SU object names have the following syntax:
Here are two examples that illustrate this syntax:
$OSIM.#TAPS.TAPS1.#Z123456
$OSIM.#TSP.TSP1.#Z000001
You can find out the names of all the SU objects currently registered with a specified
process by issuing a NAMES SU command from within that process.
Nonsensitive Command Examples
The following examples illustrate some of the nonsensitive SCF commands that you can
use with SU objects:
LISTOPENS SU $TAPS1.#Z123456
STATS SU $X25X.#ZAD1234
NAMES SU $TAPS1.*
Notice that you do not use a subdevice name with the NAMES command. In OSI/AS,
only TAPS processes can be queried with the NAMES command and the SU object. The
NAMES command is useful for finding out the names of the current SU objects.
ABORT Stops the subdevice unconditionally. User requests are canceled
and current opens are unusable.
LISTOPENS Lists the current opens on a subdevice.
NAMES Lists the names of all the SU objects currently registered with the
specified TAPS process.
STATS Displays statistical counters for an SU object.
STATUS Displays status information for an SU object.
STOP Puts a subdevice in the STOPPED state.
