OSI/AS Management Programming Manual
About This Manual
056785 Tandem Computers Incorporated xix
X25AM Management Programming Manual describes the management programming
interface to the X.25 Access Method (X25AM) subsystem. Since OSI/AS relies on
either X25AM or TLAM for lower-layer functions, a program written to manage
OSI/AS may also need to send commands to X25AM or to handle X25AM event
messages.
TLAM Management Programming Manual describes the management programming
interface to the Tandem LAN Access Method (TLAM) subsystem. Since OSI/AS relies
on either X25AM or TLAM for lower-layer functions, a program written to manage
OSI/AS may also need to send commands to TLAM or to handle TLAM event
messages.
Other Tandem OSI Manuals In addition to the prerequisite manuals shown in the diagram, you may need to be
familiar with some of the other manuals in the Tandem OSI/AS manual set. These
manuals describe various aspects of the management of OSI/AS subsystems.
SCF Reference Manual for Tandem OSI/AS describes the SCF commands used to
configure and manage the OSI/AS subsystem. These commands are the interactive
equivalents of the programmatic commands described in this manual.
Tandem OSI/AS Programming Manual describes the data communications
programmatic interface to the OSI/AS subsystem, which uses the APS procedures.
This interface allows applications using OSI/AS to communicate in the OSI
environment.
Tandem OSI/TS Manual describes how to install and manage the OSI/TS subsystem,
and also describes the data communications programmatic interface to the OSI/TS
subsystem, which uses the Guardian 90 file-system procedures. If you are using
OSI/AS, you must also install the OSI/TS subsystem and perform some management
functions using the management interface to OSI/TS. Users of OSI/AS will probably
not need to use the OSI/TS data communications programmatic interface.
SCF Reference Manual for Tandem OSI/TS describes the SCF commands used to
configure and manage the OSI/TS subsystem. These commands are the interactive
equivalents of the programmatic commands described in the Tandem OSI/TS
Management Programming Manual.
