The management information base (MIB), which contains management information
for the subsystem, is implemented as a single key-sequenced file. It contains both local
management information base (LMIB) and local directory information base (LDIB)
records. The LMIB includes information about the TAPS, TSP, and NSP processes that
your applications define to OSI/AS, so that even when these processes are stopped,
the configuration information associated with them is saved.
OSI/AS includes a programmatic interface called the API (application programmatic
interface) for use by data communications applications. This interface, consisting of a
set of APS (application, presentation, and session) procedures, allows applications to
send and receive Session Layer, Presentation Layer, and ACSE primitives. The API is
described in the Tandem OSI/AS Programming Manual.
