ZSPI-TKN-RETCODE, ZSPI-TKN-ERRLIST, ZSPI-TKN-ENDLIST, and ZSPI-
TKN-CONTEXT
are described in the Distributed Systems Management (DSM) Programming Manual.
Operational Notes
The RESETSTATS SU command must be sent to a TAPS process; it cannot be
handled by the OSI manager process.
A timestamp is associated with each counter returned, indicating when the sample
was taken. Several counters can share the same timestamp. In addition, there is a
second timestamp associated with each resettable counter, recording when the
counter was last reset. The RESETSTATS command updates the reset timestamp
counters after the response is sent.
When subdevices are deleted, their statistics as reflected by STATISTICS SU and
RESETSTATS SU are lost; however, the L5 SERVICE keeps the statistics for all its
SUs, even those that have been deleted. Therefore, to reset the Layer 5 counters
for all subdevices in the subsystem, it is recommended that you use the
RESETSTATS SERVICE command.
To reset statistics for transport subdevices, you must send a RESETSTATS SU
command to the OSI/TS subsystem. For details, refer to the Tandem OSI/TS
Management Programming Manual.
