OSI/AS Management Programming Manual
6 Event Messages
056785 Tandem Computers Incorporated 6–1
This section describes the contents and meaning of all event messages generated by
OSI/AS.
In this section, command numbers, object types, and all tokens and their values are
represented in DDL. For a quick explanation of DDL, refer to the appendix “Overview
of DDL for SPI” in the Distributed Systems Management (DSM) Programming Manual.
Subsystem Processes
That Report Events
Within the OSI/AS subsystem, the OSI manager process and TAPS processes generate
event messages. All event messages generated by these processes contain the OSI/AS
subsystem ID, which is described under “SPI Standard Definitions” earlier in this
manual.
ZOSI and ZCOM Event
Messages
OSI/AS processes generate both OSI/AS-defined event messages and common data
communications (ZCOM) event messages. Table 6-1 lists the event messages defined
by OSI/AS. Table 6-2 lists the ZCOM event messages defined by OSI/AS. The ZCOM
event messages are duplicated from the Communications Management Programming
Manual for the convenience of the reader.
