Tokens that start with a ZX____ are for D-series systems only. They are either new
tokens or a replacement for a token similarly named (but without the "X") for C-series
systems. Information will be returned in the D-series token and also in the C-series
equivalent if the information fits (the field is otherwise left null).
Message Elements for
the OSI/AS Subsystem
The following subsections provide subsystem-specific information about elements of
OSI/AS commands, responses, and event messages. For general information about
these elements, and for descriptions of elements whose meaning is not subsystem-
specific (such as the subsystem ID), refer to the Communications Management
Programming Manual or, for SPI tokens and other definitions, to the Distributed Systems
Management (DSM) Programming Manual.
Commands The OSI/AS subsystem supports the following commands:
ABORT
ACTIVATE
ADD
ALLOWOPENS
ALTER
CHECK
DELETE
FORBIDOPENS
GETVERSION
INFO
LISTOBJECTS
LISTOPENS
RESETSTATS
START
STATISTICS
STATUS
STOP
SUSPEND
TRACE
Programmatic commands for the OSI/AS subsystem are identified by command
numbers with symbolic names of the form ZCOM-CMD-
name
, where
name
identifies
the command. (The separator character varies with the language; hyphens are shown
throughout this and other DSM manuals because hyphens are used in DDL.) For
example, the name used by application programs for the ALTER command is ZCOM-
CMD-ALTER. These names represent the values that can be assigned to the command
number header token, ZSPI-TKN-COMMAND.
These commands and the OSI/AS subsystem’s responses to them are described in
Section 5.
Object Types The OSI/AS subsystem supports the following object types:
