Error Subcodes The tables in this subsection list the error subcodes for the API and the session,
presentation, and ACSE services.
When an error with no applicable subcode occurs, the subcode is set to ZAPS-ERR-
NOVALUE, with a value of 0.
The following subcodes are not listed in the tables:
File-system error codes, returned as subcodes with the following error codes:
ZAPS-ERR-MFM-ERROR (value -118)
ZAPS-ERR-MGR-FS-ERROR (value -125)
ZAPS-ERR-TAPS-FS-ERROR (value -134)
ZAPS-ERR-L5-TRANS-FS-ERROR (value -1001)
The file-system errors are described in the System Procedure Errors and Messages
Manual.
SPI errors, returned as subcodes with the following error codes:
ZAPS-ERR-SSINIT (value -120)
ZAPS-ERR-SSNULL (value -121)
ZAPS-ERR-SSGET (value -122)
ZAPS-ERR-SSPUT (value -123)
The SPI errors are described in the System Procedure Errors and Messages Manual.
ZCOM (communications management) errors, returned as negative subcode
values with the error code ZAPS-ERR-MGR-ERR (value -126). These errors are
described in the Communications Management Programming Manual.
The subcode returned with the error code ZAPS-ERR-UNSUP-MAX-FIELD-VERS
(value -139). The value of this subcode will vary from release to release, and is
described along with the error code earlier in this appendix.
The following internal error subcodes, returned as subcodes with the error code
ZAPS-ERR-INTERNAL (value -104):
ZAPS-ERR-INTERN-xxx
ZAPS-ERR-INTERN-L5-xxx
ZAPS-ERR-INTERN-PRES-xxx
ZAPS-ERR-INTERN-ACSE-xxx
ZAPS-ERR-INTERN-ASN1-xxx
These internal errors are not documented in Tandem manuals. You should not
attempt to recover from these errors, but should report them to the appropriate
support personnel.
