CHECK ENTRY Command
CHECK ENTRY Command
Use the CHECK ENTRY command with the CONNECT option, to simulate a connect
request between two applications that are using the same OSI manager process. Specify
the calling #APPL name as the entry-name in the
object-spec. Specify the called
#APPL name as the entry-name in the CONNECT attribute-spec. When the
command executes, it determines the configuration information that will be used when a
connection is made. The command output is in the form of a display that includes the
following information:
Shows the required address entries and their contents (but does not check the
validity of the values configured)
Shows the servers that will be used (and verifies that the associated process entry is
present in the MIB)
Shows the protocol related attributes that will be used for Layers 5, 4, and 3 (but
does not check the validity of the values configured)
Shows if the configuration was verified or not verified
Use the CHECK ENTRY command with the PROFILES option to simulate an attach
request. Specify the called #APPL name as the entry-name in the
object-spec.
When the command executes, it determines the protocol related attributes and
(optionally) server values that would be used when the attach request is issued by the
specified #APPL. The detailed command output is in the form of a display that includes
the following information:
Shows the required address entries and their contents (but does not check the
validity of the values configured)
Optionally, shows the servers that will be used (and verifies that the associated
process entry is present in the MIB)
Shows the protocol related attributes that will be used for Layers 5, 4, and 3 (but
does not check the validity of the values configured)
Shows whether the configuration was verified or not verified.
An
attribute-spec for the CHECK ENTRY command is one of the following
modifier name and value combinations:
{ CONNECT entry-name }
{ PROFILES [ , SERVERS ] [ , DETAIL ] }
