CHECK SU Command
State
shows the state of the NSP server process as returned by STATUS
PROCESS.
Service Values
the last section of this display shows all of the service values for Layer 5, Layer 4,
and Layer 3. For Layer 3 and Layer 4, the service entries are displayed and if a
profile has been specified, the profile entries are displayed. (Profile entries, if
specified, take priority over values in the service entry when a connection is made.
See Considerations for the ADD Command
on page 2-50 for a description of how
profile and service information is determined by the OSI manager.) This shows
which values will be used when a connection is attempted with the specified
application entry. The source fields indicate from which ENTRY the profile name
was selected.
CHECK SU Command
Use the CHECK SU command after experiencing problems with a connection (or a
connection attempt) to obtain more detailed error information about connection
problems. The SU must be static if the connection is not available. This command can
display all of the information about a particular connection or connection attempt as
stored by the TAPS, TSP, and NSP SUs. This information is displayed in the form of the
STATUS SU displays for each SU type. If a failed connection was formed using an
application entry that specified a static SU, the STATUS SU display will show the errors
that caused the failure.
An
attribute-spec for the CHECK SU command is one of the following select
name and value combinations:
[ DISPLAY { UP | DOWN | ALL | ONE } ]
[ ERRORONLY ]
[ LOCALAPPL entry-name ]
[ LOCALNSAP string ]
[ LOCALPSEL string ]
