CHECK SU Command
TAP: Error Source
shows the source of the last error reported on the selected SU at the TAPS level. It
indicates the service layer within TAPS that generated the error in the previous
column. Possible values are “ACSE”, “L6”, or “L5”. The field is blank if the TAP:
Last Error field is 0.
TAP: State
shows the state that the Session Layer of the TAPS process is in. This is the same
value displayed in the “L5 Protocol State” field in the OSI/AS STATUS SU
command.
TSP: SU Name
shows the TSP SU that is being used by the TAPS SU being displayed.
TSP: Last Error
shows the last file system error that occurred on the selected SU at the TSP level. If
there was no error, 0 will be displayed.
This field may be zero (which is not an error state) at times when there is an error.
This is because this field in the TS Status SU records the outcome of the last
response that TS returned and NOT the last nonzero error that was returned. This
means that an SU which is generating errors may not display them in this field. For
example, if a user application receives a nonzero error response from TSP, a
subsequent request would gather further information about the error, this latter query
causes a reset of this TS Error field. Therefore TSP SUs which are opened by user
applications will never exhibit a nonzero value in the this field.
TSP: Error Source
shows the source of the last error that OSI/TS returned regarding the SU. Possible
values are “L4” or “L3”. The field is blank if the TSP: Last Error field is 0.
TSP: State
shows the state that the TSP process is in. This is the same value displayed in the
“TC-State” field in the OSI/TS STATUS SU command.
NSP: SU Name
shows the NSP SU that is being used by the TAPS SU being displayed.
NSP: Last Error
shows the last error that occurred on the selected SU at the NSP level. If there was
no error, 0 will be displayed.
