START Command
START Command
Use the START command to initiate the operation of an object. Successful completion
of the START command leaves the object in the STARTED state.
START is a sensitive command.

The considerations contain information about command use that should be read before
studying the command syntax in too much detail.
PROCESS Object
When a START PROCESS is issued with process-name, for the OSI manager
process, the OSI manager process first opens and reads the database file to establish
the configuration, then changes its state to STARTED.
To start a TAPS or TSP process and the process is not already running, must issue
the START PROCESS command with
indirect-process-name. The OSI
manager process runs the process, configures the services of the process, and then
issues a START command.

START PROCESS command with the
indirect-process-name. The OSI
manager process issues a START command and issues a warning that the process is
already running.

Wildcards are supported for the START PROCESS command.
