DETAIL Command
DETAIL Command
The DETAIL command controls the level of detail of the information displayed. Using
DETAIL ON with the ACSE, L6, or L5 filters means that the display will include as
much user data as is available in the trace record. Using DETAIL ON with other filter
keys ensures that all the data that was saved in the trace record is displayed. If DETAIL
is OFF, the display will contain only the first two lines of user data.
Considerations for the DETAIL Command
The considerations contain information about command use that should be read before
studying the command syntax in too much detail.
If the DETAIL command is not used, OFF is assumed.
If DETAIL is specified without ON or OFF, ON is assumed.
The RESET and FROM commands set DETAIL to OFF.
FILTER Command
The FILTER command enables more detailed screening within the SELECT command
options you have chosen. It allows you to select records for display according to the
content of the record. If you do not use the FILTER command, the default values for the
filter-options are used.
There are three ways of filtering captured data:
By trace record type or subtype, for example, FILTER L6USER. These filters can
also be set to screen out a particular trace record, for example, FILTER
NOL6USER.
By subdevice identifier in the trace record, for example, FILTER L6SU #Z000000.
Only records pertaining to the named subdevice will be displayed.
By PDU within a provider trace record, this would be useful if only CONNECT
trace records were of interest, for example, FILTER L6PROV CONNECT.
