Shared Trace Records
DeltaTime
shows the amount of time (in seconds) that has passed since the previous trace was
captured. If the time reaches 999.999 or greater, then 999.999 is displayed. The
deltatime is zero for the first record and for any record having a timestamp earlier
than the previous record displayed.
TraceRecordNumber
shows the number of the trace record. Trace records are numbered sequentially
beginning at 1. If the WRAP option was turned on when the trace was made, records
are wrapped around and the first records in the file are overwritten if the trace
becomes full. This means that the oldest data is overwritten first.
Type
shows the record type code, which identifies the type of information contained in the
record.
Shared Trace Records
These trace records are common to both the OSI manager and the TAPS processes. They
include the following trace types:

Decode SPI Request
This trace record tracks the internal processing of an SPI request. It is primarily for
Compaq internal use but may have some value in tracking user application SPI
problems. For example, if you are using SPI to interface directly with the OSI manager
or TAPS process and your request is being rejected, the state number will tell you how
far your request got before the error was encountered.
