ENTRY Objects
#SNPA.entry-name
#SNPA defines the local subnetwork point of attachment that
corresponds to the given NSAP for the subnetwork to which the OSI
end system is attached. Use it to configure an NSP server process and
Layer 3 profile for a specific local SNPA.
An SNPA entry-name is a string of up to 14 hexadecimal digits. The
string must contain an even number of hexadecimal digits.
#TSEL.entry-name
#TSEL defines the transport service selector. Use it to configure a TAPS
server process and Layer 5 profile for a specific transport service
selector.
A TSEL entry-name is a string of up to 64 hexadecimal digits. The
string must contain an even number of hexadecimal digits.
null entry-names
For applications that don't use TSELs, NSAPs, or SNPAs, the user must specify each
entry-type with a “dummy” or null entry-name in the MIB. The way to specify a null
entry is
#NSAP.
#SNPA.
#TSEL.
ENTRY Object Wildcard Support
Wildcards are supported for the CHECK ENTRY, DELETE ENTRY, INFO ENTRY, and
NAMES ENTRY commands. Specify wildcards in the #entry-type or entry-
name fields. Examples of the #entry-type and entry-name fields with wildcards
are
.*.E*
.#*.E*
.#A*.*
.#SNPA.FE*
.#TSEL.000?
Note. For the CHECK command, wildcards are only supported for the CHECK ENTRY
PROFILES command.
For the NAMES command, see NAMES Command Syntax
on page 2-174, as wildcard support
for this command does not follow the above rules.
