Error Messages With Negative Numbers
Error Messages With Negative Numbers
Messages with negative error numbers are general SCF messages, but are documented
here because they have additional cause and recovery information that is specific to the
OSI/AS subsystem.
OSI/AS Error -00017
Cause 1. The specified object name could not be found within the subsystem. Usually
this means the object has not been added yet. This error situation includes the case
where a command refers explicitly to an object and no object of that type is supported
by the target subsystem.
Recovery 1. Add the device first, correct the object name or correct the object type.
Cause 2. The CHECK ENTRY command has determined that a field in the
configuration entry specified an object-name, but no corresponding entry exists in
the MIB. Either the object-name is wrong in the entry or the entry needs to be added
to the MIB.
Recovery 2. Verify that the object-name is correct in the entry or add the
corresponding object-name to the MIB.
OSI/AS Error -00019
Cause 1. An invalid object name template was found in the command buffer.
Recovery 1. Correct the object name syntax and reissue the request.
Cause 2. The CHECK ENTRY command has determined that the specified application
name is either too long (64 characters maximum), or did not contain #APPL as the first
qualifier, or two different OSI manager processes were specified.
Recovery 2. Reissue the command with either the correct syntax for the object-
name, the #APPL specified first, or with the same OSI manager name specified for both
#APPLs.
