Error Messages Without Numbers
Error Messages Without Numbers
Messages without error numbers are generated during command parsing and are
generally self explanatory. In a few cases, however, additional information needs to be
provided. These cases are documented in this appendix.
Cause. If this error message occurs during the processing of a CHECK ENTRY
(CONNECT or PROFILES) command, it indicates that the OSI manager process
specified in the command was not running when the command was issued.
Recovery. Recovery. Start the OSI manager process and then reissue the command.
Cause. During processing of the CHECK SU command, a request was sent to the TSP
or NSP subsystem, resulting in an error message being returned by the subsystem
reporting the error. The command will complete processing, but will return partial
results—results are missing from the subsystem (either TSP or NSP) reporting the error.
Recovery. If the retcode was -17 and the SU used in the connection is dynamic,
reestablish the connection with a static SU, and then reissue the CHECK SU command.
For other retcodes, look up the error in the indicated subsystem’s error documentation.
