PROFILE Objects
The states of TSP and NSP processes are determined by the lower-level subsystems to
which they belong. For information on the states of TSP processes, see the OSI/TS SCF
Reference Manual. For information on the states of NSP processes, see the SCF
Reference Manual for X25AM, the TCP/IP Configuration and Management Manual, or
(for D-series releases) the SCF Reference Manual for Multilan/TLAM or (for G06 and
later releases) the PAM Configuration and Management Manual.
PROFILE Objects
Use the PROFILE object to define templates that contain configuration parameters for
dynamic subdevices.
The
object-name for the PROFILE object is profile-name, and it has the following
format:
$osi-mgr-name
is the name of the OSI manager process. The OSI manager name is a valid Guardian
process name.
#profile-type
is one of the following qualifiers:
#L3
#L4
#L5
profile-name
is a name of a profile definition. It consists of one through eight alphanumeric
characters and must start with a letter.
#profile-type.
profile-name, together, must be a unique name. For example,
#L3.L1 and #L4.R1 are valid combinations.
STOPPING The process is in transition to the STOPPED state because the
STOP command was issued. The process is running but does not
accept new user requests.
SUSPENDED The process is running but does not accept new user requests. If the
OSI manager process is in the SUSPENDED state, it does not
communicate with other OSI processes and the Management
Information Base (MIB) is closed.
SUSPENDING The process is in transition to the SUSPENDED state because the
SUSPEND command was issued. The process is running but does
not accept new user requests.
