Attribute Default Values
Attribute Default Values
In the following command descriptions, two terms are used to indicate default values for
the attributes under the ADD and ALTER commands:
DEFAULT. When an ENTRY, PROCESS, or PROFILE object is added without an
attribute specified, that attribute is configured with the indicated default value. The
attribute can subsequently be altered with the ALTER command. Some of the
attributes in the ALTER command have a RESET option
For example, ALTER PROFILE #L3 has an attribute, X25CUG, with the RESET
option. When this option is used, the object is configured with the default value for
X25CUG.
OSIMGR DEFAULT. The SERVICE object is not configured with the ADD
command. It is established when the OSI manager process reads the Management
Information Base (MIB) when processing a START or ACTIVATE command. The
term OSIMGR DEFAULT indicates the value given to the attribute by the OSI
manager process. These values can subsequently be altered; if the RESET option is
used, the original value set by the OSI manager process is restored.
The SERVICE object attributes in Layer 3 that have an OSIMGR default are shown in
Table 2-4
.
Note. See the Considerations for the ADD Command on page 2-50 for additional information
regarding profile and service value selection.
