ALLOWSU
Priority of address Over COMNAME
If both a common name and an address (a PSEL, an SSEL, a TSEL, and an NSAP
group) for a process exist in the APLMGR MIB, both are included in the APS register
request sent to the OSI manager process. When this occurs, the OSI manager process
uses the OSI address—the address components override the common name.
ALLOWSU
ALLOWSU is the switch that controls the automatic generation of subdevices in a
responder process.
If ALLOWSU is set to ON, the FTAM responder automatically creates a new subdevice,
up to the number specified by MAXATTACH, whenever an existing subdevice receives
an association request.
If ALLOWSU is set to OFF, the responder does not regenerate a new subdevice after an
existing one has received an association request. Setting ALLOWSU to OFF allows you
to shut down a process in an orderly way.
For more information on ALLOWSU, see the OSI/FTAM Configuration and
Management Manual.
BACKUPCPU
BACKUPCPU specifies the CPU in which the backup process of a process pair is to run
when the process is started, or is currently running.
The value specified must represent a valid CPU number in this Tandem system. Because
there is no default, this attribute must be present if you want a backup process.
The backup CPU for the APLMGR process is specified in the RUN command.
