Trace File Header Record

The file header record displays identification information specific to the trace file, as

shown in the following example:

Trace of

is the process name and the device type and subtype of the process that was traced.

Device type and subtypes for Tandem FTAM processes are shown in Table 5-1 on

page 5-3.

Ptrace Data File

is the file containing the trace data.

Trace started

is the date and time the trace was started.

First trace entry

is the timestamp of the first data record in the file—that is, the date and time when

the first trace record was captured.

Last trace entry

is the timestamp of the last data record in the file—that is, the date and time when

the last trace record was captured.

Trace entry size limit

is the maximum length, in bytes, of trace records in the file. This value is

determined by RECSIZE, specified in the SCF TRACE command.
