SCF Error Messages for the FTAM

Subsystem

This appendix describes all Subsystem Control Facility (SCF) error messages returned

by the FTAM subsystem. These errors all have positive error numbers. Errors returned

by the FTAM subsystem that have negative numbers are common to all subsystems. For

a general description of SCF error messages, see SCF Error Messages on page 1-11.

Each error listed includes a description of the probable cause of the error condition, an

explanation of the effect of the error, and a recommended recovery action. Error

messages are listed in numerical order.

Some FTAM error messages are not easily recoverable and require you to seek

additional help. In these cases, follow the standard procedures at your site for contacting

the appropriate support personnel. These procedures might involve contacting the

Global Customer Support Center (GCSC) or your local service provider.

Collect any relevant information, including the details from the error message, along

with supporting documentation such as Event Message Service (EMS) logs, an Inspect

save file of the initiator or responder process, and a description of the problem and the

accompanying symptoms for the support personnel. If your local operating procedures

require contacting the GCSC, please supply your system number and the numbers and

versions of all related products as well.
