Cause. A call was made to the Guardian procedure indicated, and a failure error was
returned. For example, if this error occurred when a security violation on the
NEWPROCESSNOWAIT call was detected, the following message would be returned:
OSIFTAM E00001 Guardian procedure error. Call
newprocessnowait, Error 001413
Effect. The command is not performed.
Recovery. Log the error, noting the procedure name and error number. Follow the
procedures described at the beginning of this appendix for collecting relevant
information and contacting appropriate support personnel.
Cause. An internal error occurred.
Effect. The command is not performed.
Recovery. You need to seek additional help. Follow the procedures described at the
beginning of this appendix for collecting relevant information and contacting
appropriate support personnel.
Cause. You have issued a STOP command to a subdevice currently in use.
Effect. The command is not performed.
Recovery. Use LISTOPENS to determine which application is using the subdevice,
stop the user application, and reissue the STOP command. An alternative solution is to
terminate the subdevice with the ABORT command.
Cause. You have issued a command directly to an initiator or a responder process that
attempts to alter the state of a process, but the command is valid only when directed to a
process through the APLMGR.
Effect. The command is not performed.
Recovery. Reissue the ABORT, ACTIVATE, START, STOP, or SUSPEND command
indirectly through the APLMGR process, using indirect-process-name.
