SCF CONFIRM Command
Other commands make no changes, but simply allow the SCF user to view information.
SCP does not perform any security checking on these commands, but allows any
Guardian user to perform them. These commands are called nonsensitive commands.
Object Attributes
All SCF objects (except the null object) used in Tandem FTAM have attributes. These
are characteristics that describe an object (such as maximum size allowed, or an
associated OSI address that the object is to use). Attributes are typically configured
when an object is added; many attributes can also be modified. See Section 4, Attributes
for Tandem FTAM, for a description of each attribute.
SCF CONFIRM Command
The general SCF command CONFIRM allows you to enable or disable the display of a
positive confirmation message upon successful completion of a command. By default,
this option is set to OFF. You can use the command
CONFIRM ON
to cause SCF to display a confirmation message whenever any command, except those
that normally return a display, successfully completes its operation. If you have not set
the CONFIRM option to ON, or if you set it to OFF again, SCF displays only its prompt
on successful completion of nondisplaying commands.
SCF always displays error and warning messages, regardless of whether it is displaying
confirmation messages.
SCF Product Modules for Tandem FTAM
Tandem FTAM includes two SCF product modules, both of which are listed by the SCF
LISTPM command. The product modules are as follows:
SCF Time Values
The SCF interface to Tandem FTAM uses time values only in the STATS command
displays, to display the reset time and sample time. Hours, minutes, seconds, and
fractions of a second are displayed, as shown, for example, in the command description
of STATS PROCESS on page 3-77.
SCF Features Not Supported
The BACKUP, LIKE, SUB, and SEL options (or any variations of the SUB and SEL
options) are not supported by Tandem FTAM.
