Overview of FTAM Objects

Table 2-1 lists the objects Tandem FTAM supports. Each object type is discussed in

detail in the following subsections.

null Not applicable The absence of an object; it

is not a true object type.

PROCESS PROCESS $appl-mgr-name

PROCESS indirect-process-name

PROCESS $process-name

A set of attributes that

describes one of the three

types of processes: APLMGR

process, initiator process, or

responder process.

PROFILE PROFILE

$appl-mgr-name.#profile-

type[.profile-name]

A configured set of attributes.

There are two types of

profiles: virtual filestore

(VFS) and alternate collector

(FTC).

SU SU $process-name.#su-name A representation of an FTAM

association made through a

Tandem initiator or responder

process, or, in the case of

some responder subdevices, a

representation of a potential

FTAM association.

SUBSYS SUBSYS $appl-mgr-name A set of attributes that

describes the subsystem as a

whole. This object is used for

modifying and viewing the

configuration of the

subsystem.
