Object States for the PROCESS Object

Tandem FTAM processes can be in, or in transition to, any of four states: UNKNOWN,

STARTED, STOPPED, or SUSPENDED. Figure 2-3 illustrates the process states, the

commands that cause each state transition, and the intermediate states that exist during

process state transitions. State-change commands for processes can be issued only

through the APLMGR process.
