ABORT SU
ABORT SU
The ABORT SU command terminates the operation of an FTAM subdevice whether or
not its work is completed. It aborts all pending requests for the subdevice and deletes the
subdevice. ABORT SU is a sensitive command.
The ABORT SU command has the following syntax:
\system-name
identifies the system in which the named process is running.
$process-name
identifies the process name associated with the subdevice you are aborting.
#su-name
identifies the subdevice you are aborting.
ABORT SU Considerations
•
The ABORT command deletes a subdevice whether or not its work is complete.
After the ABORT SU command completes, the subdevice no longer exists.
•
When you send the ABORT SU command to an FTAM responder process, the
existing subdevice is deleted, but the responder automatically creates a new
subdevice if the ALLOWSU attribute of the PROCESS object has a value of ON.
For information on changing the ALLOWSU value, see ALTER PROCESS
on
page 3-22.
