INFO PROCESS Display Format With DETAIL (Responder)
The INFO PROCESS command with the DETAIL option generates the following
display for a responder process specified by indirect-process-name:
The display generated by this command for a responder process specified directly using
$process-name is identical to the display above except for the first line:
For initiator and responder processes, an asterisk preceding the field name indicates that
the field can be modified using the ALTER command. See Section 4, Attributes for
Tandem FTAM, for detailed descriptions of the configurable characteristics of Tandem
FTAM objects.
INFO PROCESS Considerations
If you specify indirect-process-name, the command is sent to the
APLMGR process, which in turn routes it to the specified initiator or responder
process. If you specify $process-name, the command goes directly to the
specified initiator or responder.
Information returned by an INFO command issued directly to an initiator or a
responder process (by specifying process-name) can differ from information
returned by an INFO command issued to the process through the APLMGR process
(by specifying indirect-process-name). This situation can occur if the INFO
command happens to be received by the initiator or responder before APLMGR has
communicated a recent MIB change to that process. Such discrepancies are
short-lived and are only rarely visible through SCF.
The MIB must be in an OPEN state for the INFO PROCESS command to complete
successfully. The APLMGR process, therefore, must be in a STARTED state.
