Adding, Changing, and Deleting VFS Profiles
Deleting Profiles
If you no longer want to configure responder processes using the characteristics
provided by a given profile, you should either change the profile or delete it from your
installation.
You can proceed in either of the following ways:
Reconfigure the profile using the SCF ALTER PROFILE command, as described in
the previous subsection.
Stop or suspend the responder process; then use the ALTER PROCESS command to
designate a new PROFILE attribute for the responder. Delete the old profile.
In both instances, you must stop the process associated with the profile and restart it
before the new attributes can take effect. The SCF START command causes processes to
retrieve new attributes. If the process attempts to retrieve attributes from a profile that
has been deleted (or was never configured), an error results.
The following command uses SCF to remove a profile:
DELETE PROFILE $AMGR.#VFS.OLDVFS
Note. If you delete a profile and replace it with a profile with a different name, you must
change all references to the old profile.
