Abstract

This manual describes how to configure and manage the Tandem OSI/FTAM and

OSI/APLMGR subsystems. It is intended for system and network managers and

operators who manage initiators and/or responders on Tandem NonStop systems.

This manual supports D43 and all subsequent D-series releases and G06.05 and all

subsequent G-series releases until otherwise indicated in a new edition.

Manual Changes

This is the first edition of the OSI/FTAM Configuration and Management Manual. The

manual was previously titled the Tandem OSI/FTAM Configuration and Management

Manual. References in this section to previous editions of this manual are to the old title.

the last edition. Editorial corrections to or changes in the organization of existing

material do not have change bars.

The following list summarizes the changes to this edition of the manual:

Port Access Method (PAM) and NonStop TCP/IP. Text and figures have been

modified to reflect FTAM support for the Tandem NonStop TCP/IP subsystem and

for the Port Access Method (PAM) subsystem, which replaces the Tandem LAN

Access Method (TLAM) subsystem for G-series releases. See OSI/AS, OSI/TS, and

TLAM, PAM, X25AM, or TCP/IP on page 1-8. For more information on NonStop

TCP/IP configurations for Tandem FTAM, see the Tandem OSI/AS and OSI/TS

Supplement (Includes RFC-1006 Support).
