7. At the Transport Layer, add the TSP process $OSM1.#TSP.L41. Associate this
process with a unique process name, $L41, by which it will be known to the
operating system. This example also specifies the primary and backup CPUs for the
TSP process.
8. Next, add the NSAP ENTRY object, $OSM1.#NSAP.03, specifying the same NSAP
value as that in the APPL ENTRY configuration. This must also be the actual
address for the entry into the Transport Layer entity #TSP. The server,
$OSM1.#TSP.L41, was added in step 7 and points to the process to be used by this
NSAP. The Layer 4 PROFILE object can optionally be used to select the specific
transport services required. The NETADDR-MODE attribute must be specified if
you are using an X.25 network that follows the 1980 addressing standards.
An SNPA address must also be configured under this entry. For X.25 networks using
the 1980 addressing standards, this field is not used, but it still must be specified.
For TLAM networks, this field must contain the six-byte controller address (the
LAN MAC address), as configured by the manufacturer, with an OSI link selector
address of FE in front, for a total of 14 hexadecimal digits—for example, SNPA
FE08008E000024.
9. Add the Layer 4 PROFILE object, PROFILE $OSM1.#L4.L4PROF, if you selected
it in step 8. This example sets the transport class to 2.
10. At the Network Layer, add the NSP process $OSM1.#NSP.L31. Associate this NSP
with the name of an X25AM or TLAM process that has been generated using
SYSGEN. Since the NSP process cannot be started from the OSI manager process,
it must already exist, and you must ensure that the NSP lines have already been
started by SCF through commands to the X25AM or TLAM subsystem.
11. Add the SNPA ENTRY object, $OSM1.#SNPA.05, specifying the same SNPA value
configured in step 8. The server, $OSM1.#NSP.L31, was added in step 10 and points
to the process to be used by this SNPA. If you have any specific Network Layer
attributes to configure, select a Layer 3 PROFILE object.
12. Finally, add the Layer 3 PROFILE object, PROFILE $OSM1.#L3.L3PROF, if you
selected it in step 11. This example sets the X.25 destination address to
031344082428901 and the X.25 port number to 1.
