Displaying Object Names
When you direct the command to the APLMGR process, the display returns the
APLMGR name, the names and types of all processes associated with that APLMGR,
and the names of all associated profiles. Note the following example applied to the
example FTAM configuration:
NAMES $AMGR
This command returns the following display. Note that the names in each category are
not returned in any particular order:
This display shows that the APLMGR process name is $AMGR and that there are two
initiator (#FTAMI) processes, FTI1 and FTI2, and two responder (#FTAMR) processes,
FTR1 and FTR2. In addition, there is one profile associated with $AMGR: the VFS
profile (#VFS) named VFS1.
When you issue the NAMES null command to a specific initiator or responder process,
the display returns the process name and all subdevices associated with that process. In
the example FTAM configuration, the command
NAMES $FTR1
returns the following display:
This display shows there are four subdevices associated with the responder process
$FTR1: #ZF00002, #ZF00003, #ZF00001, and #ZF00004. Note that the names are not
returned in alphanumerical order.
