Checking Association Status
To obtain status information, issue the SCF STATUS SU command for a specific
responder subdevice:
STATUS SU $FTR1.#ZF54321, DETAIL
where $FTR1 refers to the process name of the FTAM responder, #ZF54321 is the name
of the FTAM subdevice, and DETAIL is an optional request to display for all available
information.
This command displays the following:
The addressing information provides you with the most significant information,
indicating whether or not an association has been established with the desired remote
system. The other fields in this display can also provide you with useful information.
The State field indicates the current state of the subdevice being used for the association.
This field always displays the value STARTED, indicating that the subdevice is in use.
The Opens field displays the number of associations that have this subdevice open.
The value of this field can be 0 or 1. The value 0 means that the subdevice is available to
be opened. The value 1 means that an incoming association from a remote initiator has
been established with the Tandem responder and that the subdevice is therefore open.
For responder subdevices, this value is 0, if it represents a pending attach and is not yet
servicing an incoming association, or 1, if it is currently servicing an association.
The Error and Error Subcode fields for a responder subdevice display the last APS error
code and error subcode returned by the TAPS process for this subdevice. For more
information on these codes, see the Tandem OSI/AS Programming Reference Manual.
