Checking Association Status
The CEPI field identifies the association between the Tandem responder and remote
initiator by means of its connection endpoint identifier (CEPI), and the TAPS SU field
identifies the name of the TAPS subdevice used for the association.
The FTAM Functional Units Selected field displays the functional units negotiated for
the association between the calling and called entities.
The information in this display might prove useful to you. Here are some ways in which
you can use this information to troubleshoot application problems:
•
For association problems, you can check the remote addressing information to
determine if the association has been made with the desired remote resource.
•
Once you establish an association, check the FTAM Functional Units Selected field
to determine what was negotiated over the association. This field corresponds to the
association between the calling address and the called address.
For more information on the SCF interactive interface for managing Tandem FTAM, see
the OSI/FTAM and OSI/APLMGR SCF Reference Manual.
