Displaying Process Status
To ensure that your FTAM subsystem is running correctly, you should monitor the status
of FTAM initiator and responder processes. To display this information, issue the
STATUS PROCESS command either to the FTAM initiator or responder process directly
or to the FTAM process indirectly (through APLMGR).
To issue the STATUS PROCESS command to the example initiator $FTI1 (with the
DETAIL option), enter the following:
STATUS PROCESS $FTI1, DETAIL
This command returns the following display:
This display shows that the $FTI1 process has a backup process and is started, is
configured to accept new opens, and has three openers—SCP ($ZNET), $AMGR, and
an application opener. A trace is not currently in progress.
The following screen shows the additional information displayed when the value for
Trace is ON:
