SCF is a command interpreter that allows you to manage Tandem FTAM in a manner
similar to the way you manage many other Tandem products. Using SCF, you can
perform such functions as adding new FTAM processes, changing the configuration of
existing processes, and monitoring the overall configuration of Tandem FTAM.
The Event Management Service (EMS) is a group of processes, tools, and interfaces that
collect and distribute event messages generated by FTAM and APLMGR processes and
other processes in the system. EMS messages displayed in text format are known as
operator messages. Using EMS, you can send these messages to one of several
destinations to be viewed.
