Sensitive and Nonsensitive SCF Commands
Sensitive and Nonsensitive SCF Commands
Sensitive and nonsensitive commands regulate access to Tandem FTAM management
capabilities. Sensitive commands allow only certain users to change the state or
configuration of objects, start or stop tracing, or reset the values of statistics counters.
Nonsensitive commands allow any user to view requested information but not to alter
data.
Security is maintained by restricting the use of sensitive commands to members of the
Guardian super ID group and members of the Guardian user group that owns the
Tandem FTAM process (APLMGR, initiator, or responder) to which the command is
sent. (Use of commands directed to an initiator or a responder through the APLMGR
process is restricted based on the ownership of the APLMGR process.) Table 2-2
lists
the sensitive and nonsensitive SCF commands for Tandem FTAM.
SUSPEND Changes the state of an object from STARTED to
SUSPENDED.

TRACE Starts, modifies, or stops the gathering of trace
