SCF Help Utility
SCF Help Utility
The SCF interface to the FTAM and APLMGR subsystems includes online help.
Table 2-3 lists the commands you can issue and the type of information returned by the
SCF help utility.
Note. The owner, or process accessor ID, of the Tandem FTAM responder process changes
depending on the particular remote application process that is using the responder services.
This condition does not affect the operation of sensitive commands that are issued to a
responder through the APLMGR process, because the ownership of the APLMGR process
determines whether these commands can be executed.
However, changes in responder ownership can affect the execution of the following
nonsensitive commands, which cannot be executed through the APLMGR process but must be
sent directly to the responder: TRACE PROCESS and STATS PROCESS or STATS SU with
the RESET option. You must either issue these commands through super ID access or you
must ensure that all applications using the responder log on using user IDs in the same
Guardian user group and that you do the same when issuing these commands to the
responder.
