SCF Error Messages
The subsystem variable uses the values OSIAPLMG and OSIFTAM for the
APLMGR and FTAM subsystems, respectively. For example, to get information about
the DELETE command for the APLMGR subsystem, you would use the command
HELP OSIAPLMG DELETE
This command returns the following help screen:
SCF Error Messages
SCF detects errors in commands and reports them in error messages. SCF error
messages are either general to SCF or SCP or specific to the Tandem FTAM subsystems
(FTAM and APLMGR). General messages are prefaced with SCF, SCP, or no product-
identifying text; subsystem-specific messages are prefaced with OSIFTAM or
OSIAPLMG for the FTAM and APLMGR subsystems, respectively.
These messages are displayed as either errors or warnings. Errors, identified with an E
prefix before the message number, are conditions that cause a command to fail.
Warnings, identified with a W prefix before the message number, are conditions that
warn of possible problems but that do not cause the command to fail. The format of the
messages includes the identity of the subsystem originating the message, the prefix of E
or W, the error number, and the error text. For example, when a security violation is
detected by the procedure NEWPROCESSNOWAIT, the APLMGR subsystem returns
the following error message:
OSIAPLMG E00001 Operating system procedure error. Call
newprocessnowait, Error 001460
For information on general SCF and SCP error messages, see the Subsystem Control
Facility (SCF) Reference Manual (for D-series releases) or the SCF Reference Manual
for G-Series Releases. For information on SCF messages for the APLMGR and FTAM
subsystems, see the OSI/FTAM and OSI/APLMGR SCF Reference Manual.
DELETE Command
The DELETE command removes the definition of the object that you
specify from the APLMGR configuration database. DELETE is a
sensitive command.
The DELETE command supports the following object types: PROCESS
and PROFILE.
For more information enter: HELP OSIAPLMG DELETE PROCESS or
HELP OSIAPLMG DELETE PROFILE. Use the HISTORY and FC commands to
facilitate command entry.
