SUBSYS Objects
SCF Commands for the null Object
Only two commands are valid for the null object type:
NAMES
VERSION
The NAMES null command refers to a collection of object types; for the VERSION null
command, the object type is irrelevant.
The following are examples of SCF commands that use the null object type. These
commands display the names of objects controlled by the specified process or
information on the version of the specified process:
NAMES $FTI2
NAMES $AMGR
VERSION $FTR1, DETAIL
VERSION $AMGR
SUBSYS Objects
The SUBSYS object represents the APLMGR subsystem. This object is used to define
and query characteristics applicable in the entire FTAM environment managed by a
particular APLMGR process. SCF commands directed through the SUBSYS object are
directed only to the APLMGR process and not to individual FTAM initiator or responder
processes.
Using the SUBSYS object, you can collect general configuration information about
Tandem FTAM and, if necessary, modify attributes of the configuration.
SCF Commands for the SUBSYS Object
The following SCF commands are valid for the SUBSYS object:
ALTER
STATS
INFO
STATUS
NAMES
VERSION
SUBSYS Object State
The SUBSYS object has one state: DEFINED. This state is achieved whenever the
APLMGR process is running. The state of the SUBSYS object is displayed by the SCF
STATUS SUBSYS command, as described under Displaying Subsystem Status on
page 5-2.
