SUBSYS Objects
SUBSYS Object Attributes
SUBSYS object attributes allow you to modify the configuration of the subsystem using
the SCF ALTER command. The location of the FTAM initiator and responder object
files, the maximum number of processes that can be started, the MIB location, and the
name of the OSI manager process are all attributes that you can configure for the
SUBSYS object. Table 2-4
describes these attributes.
For information on using these attributes in a Tandem FTAM installation, see FTAM
Configuration Attributes on page 3-1.
SUBSYS Object Names
When you issue a command for the SUBSYS object, you send it to the APLMGR
process, which you identify using the Guardian process name.
For example, if the name of the APLMGR process in the \MARS system is $AMGR,
use \MARS.$AMGR or $AMGR in SCF commands for the SUBSYS object name.
The following are examples of SCF commands issued with the SUBSYS object:
ALTER SUBSYS \MARS.$AMGR, MAXFTAMI 12
INFO SUBSYS $AMGR
STATS SUBSYS $AMGR, RESET
