PROFILE Object
PROFILE Object Attributes
PROFILE object attributes allow you to configure and alter profiles for FTAM responder
processes. Table 2-10 describes the attributes of a PROFILE object.
For details on how to interpret these attributes for your configuration, see FTAM
Configuration Attributes on page 3-1.
PROFILE Object Names
The name of a PROFILE object, standing for a virtual filestore (VFS) profile, consists of
three parts: the external name of the APLMGR process, the keyword identifying the
profile as a VFS profile (#VFS), and a name of up to eight alphanumeric characters (the
first character must be alphabetic) that you assign to the profile.
The following are examples of SCF commands applied to PROFILE objects:
ADD PROFILE $AMGR.#VFS.VFS2, COMNAME "TEST1"
DELETE PROFILE $AMGR.#VFS.VFS2
INFO PROFILE $AMGR.#VFS.VFS1, DETAIL

Attribute Description
COMNAME Name used by the OSI manager process to locate addresses in the
management information base
NSAP Network service access point (NSAP) address for the VFS profile
TSEL Address defining the transport service access point (TSAP) selector for
the VFS profile
SSEL Address defining the session service access point (SSAP) selector for
the VFS profile
PSEL Address defining the presentation service access point (PSAP) selector
for the VFS profile
DEFUSER User ID and password used by the responder if the remote user does
not supply an initiator ID and password
