NonStop FTAM Diagnostic Messages
NonStop FTAM Diagnostic Messages
NonStop FTAM diagnostic messages are a subset of the ISO-defined FTAM diagnostic
messages. The NonStop diagnostic messages provide more complete information than
the corresponding ISO diagnostic messages, insofar because these errors are specific
to the NonStop product. The NonStop initiator generates a few diagnostic messages, in
the case of abort indications and open confirms.

that the NonStop initiator can generate, see the OSI/FTAM Programming Reference

3000 - 3030 Selection related Diagnostic messages related to
problems in the file-select regime
(select, create, delete, deselect)
4000 - 4007 File management related Diagnostic messages related to
problems in reading or changing file
attributes
5000 - 5041 Access related Diagnostic messages related to
problems in file access (open, read,
write, locate, erase)
6000 - 6017 Recovery related Diagnostic messages related to
problems in file recovery

NOCATPOSS 0 Source of the error cannot be identified. This
identifier is not valid for the observer.
INITFSRVUSR 1 Initiating file-service user (the application).
INITFPMCH 2 Initiating file protocol machine (the initiator).
SRVFPMCH 3 Service supporting the protocol machines (the local
or remote OSI stack). This identifier is not valid for
the observer.
RESFPMCH 4 Responding file protocol machine.
RESFSRVUSR 5 Responding file-service user (file storage system).
