The NonStop OSI Services
NonStop FTAM is built on the NonStop OSI services, which consist of several products,
as shown in Figure 1-2.
•
OSI/Application Services (OSI/AS) is an implementation of the Session and
Presentation Layers of the OSI model, as well as the common service elements
(ACSE) of the Application Layer.
•
OSI/Transport Services (OSI/TS) is an implementation of the Transport Layer of
the OSI model, including the connectionless network protocol (CLNP) as an option.
•
HP NonStop X25AM and the HP Tandem LAN Access Method (TLAM) provide
lower layer services for wide and local area networks, respectively.
