Activity Attributes
Activity Attributes
Activity attributes relate to activity during an ISO FTAM association. These attributes
are created and discarded during the life of an association. Activity attributes are
particular to a single FTAM association and are not directly accessible through FTAM
protocol. No permanent record of their values is kept.
Table 2-12 lists the ISO FTAM activity attributes, the parameters from which their
values are set, and the regimes in which they operate (that is, their scope). You can
find information about activity attributes in ISO 8571-2, clause 3.13.
The active-contents-type attribute indicates either the document-type name or the
abstract-syntax name/constraint-set name pair established for transfer of a file.
(NonStop FTAM does not support abstract-syntax name/constraint-set name pairs.)
For an explanation of document types and constraint sets, see Document Types on
page 2-28. The value of active-contents-type is set when the file is opened and is
derived from the contents-type file attribute or from the contents-type parameter of
the file-open service (F-OPEN). The scope of this attribute is the file-open regime.
The current-access-request attribute includes one element for each action that might or
might not be possible in a file-selection regime. These Boolean values are set from the
requested-access parameter of the file-creation (F-CREATE) and file-selection
(F-SELECT) services. The elements for possible file-access actions are:
