The file-access actions were defined in File-Access Actions on page 2-26.
The current-initiator-identity attribute identifies the initiator to the responder when the
application program establishes the FTAM regime. The FTAM regime establishment
service (F-INITIALIZE) sets the value from the initiator-identity parameter. The
scope of this attribute is the FTAM regime.
The current-location attribute indicates the current position within the file and can be
modified by any action (locate, erase, read, insert) within the file-open regime. The
value of current-location at initialization is defined by the constraint set in operation.
The current-processing-mode attribute contains one element for each file-access
action allowed in a particular file-open regime. The value is set from the
processing-mode parameter of the file-open service. The possible elements are:
•
Read
•
Insert
•
Replace
•
Extend
•
Erase
The current-calling-application-entity-title attribute indicates the application-entity title of
the application entity that requested establishment of the FTAM regime.
Application-entity titles are described in ISO 7498, Part 3. The value of the attribute is
set from the calling-application-title parameter of the FTAM-regime-
establishment service. The scope of the attribute is the FTAM regime.
The current-responding-application-entity-title attribute indicates the application entity
title of the application entity that corresponds to the responder interfacing with the
requested virtual filestore. The value of the attribute is set from the
responding-application-title parameter of the FTAM-regime-establishment
service. The scope of the attribute is the FTAM regime. For more information on
application entity titles, see ISO 7498, Part 3.
The current-account attribute identifies the authority responsible for charges assessed
by the responder for the use of files during the FTAM regime. The scope of the
attribute is the FTAM regime; however, an alternative value can be used within the
file-selection regime to accumulate charges for actions on a specific file. The value is
