File Attributes
Contents-type. The contents-type attribute indicates either of the following:
Document type of a file (and, optionally, parameter values that further define the
document type).
Abstract syntax name/constraint set name pair. Abstract syntax is defined as an
abstract representation of the way in which components of information are to be
specified in a communication. It defines a set of low-level elements whose range of
values is fully defined and ways of combining these elements. Note that NonStop
FTAM does not support abstract syntax name/constraint set name pairs.
For an explanation of document types and constraint sets, see Document Types on
page 2-28. The value of the contents-type attribute is set at file creation and cannot be
changed by the change-attribute action.
Storage Group Attributes
Storage group attributes are available only if the group has been negotiated. These
attributes are as follows:
Storage-account. The storage-account attribute identifies the authority responsible for
file storage charges. This value is set when the file is created and can be changed by
the change-attribute action of the virtual filestore at the responder.
Date-and-time-of-creation. The date-and-time-of-creation attribute identifies when the
file was created. It is set by the responder at file creation and contains the date and
time when the create action was performed by the responder. You cannot use the
change-attribute action to change this attribute.
Date-and-time-of-last-modification. The date-and-time-of-last-modification attribute
identifies when the file contents were last modified. It is updated by the responder
whenever the file is closed after it has been opened for modification or extension. It is
not changed unless the file is opened and cannot be altered by the change-attribute
action.
Date-and-time-of-last-read-access. The date-and-time-of-last-read-access attribute
identifies when the file contents were last read. It is updated by the responder
whenever the file is closed after it has been opened for reading. The attribute takes on
the value of the date and time the file is closed. The attribute is not changed unless the
file is opened and cannot be altered by the change-attribute action.
Date-and-time-of-last-attribute-modification. The date-and-time-of-last-attribute
modification attribute identifies when the value of a file attribute was last modified. The
responder updates this attribute whenever the change-attribute action is successfully
performed on one or more attributes. The responder does not update it when an
attribute, such as the filesize attribute, is changed implicitly. You cannot use the
change-attribute action to change this attribute.
Identity-of-creator. The responder sets the identity-of-creator attribute at file creation
and identifies the entity that creates the file. If the create action is performed through
