Step-by-Step Installation
The following example shows what you should enter to create a Pathway server for
the AU:
PATHMON /NAME $MWEB,nowait/
PATHCOM /IN AUCNFG/ $MWEB
Table 2-1 describes the AU-specific parameters for the AU-DISTRIBUTOR and
AU-SERVER classes.

Parameters Description Example
AUD-PORT The TCP/IP port that the
AU-DISTRIBUTOR class listens
to for connections. This
parameter must be unique for
each AU-DISTRIBUTOR class.

AUD-MANAGER The name of the Pathway
monitor process that this server
runs under.
$mweb
AUD-SERVER The name of the AU-SERVER
class that this
AU-DISTRIBUTOR class sends
its Pathsend procedure call to
when it receives a connection
request from a browser.
au-server
AUS-SUBSYS The name of the OSI/MHS
subsystem that this server is
associated with. AU-SERVER
requires that the MHSMGR
process be running when
AU-SERVER is started.

AUS-DB-SUBVOL The name of the OSI/MHS
database subvolume that the
AU-SERVER class uses to find
the OSI/MHS internal databases.
$POSTG.MDB0
AUS-AUUSERS-FILENAME The file name of the AU
user-permissions database file
created by the AU_CR_USERS
macro. Optionally, the file name
may be fully qualified.
auusers
AUS-LOGONTXT-FILENAME The name of the file containing
the text displayed on the logon
screen. The file is formatted in
HTML. You can edit the file to
reflect your environment.
Optionally, the file name may be
fully qualified.
