3. If you are the master user, define user permissions for accessing the AU.
Only the master user can perform the initial access to the AU. If you do not wish to
use the default TCP/IP connection, the master user may specifically define the
Guardian TCP/IP process in the AUCNFG file. (See the Pathway/TS TCP and
Terminal Programming Guide and the NonStop TCP/IP and IPX/SPX Programming
Manual for more detailed information.)
To access the AU, use a Web browser to open the URL of the AU (the IP address of
the TCP/IP process plus the port specified for the AUD-PORT) as in the following
example:
http://150.190.180.7937:5556
where 150.190.180.7937 is the IP address, and 5556 is the port.
The logon screen appears on the browser, and you are prompted to enter a Guardian
user ID and password to enter the AU. If the AU-SERVER class determines that the
user ID and password are valid, the control screen (AU’s main menu screen)
appears. You then go to the user permissions screen to add access to the system for
the appropriate users.
See User Permissions Screen
in Section 3, Using the Administrative Utility, for
specific information about navigating to the user permissions screen and using its
features.
Caution. The TCP/IP parameter HOSTID must be valid for the host subsystem. The initial
default value for this parameter is 0, but you must change this value so that it is valid. For
further information, see the Compaq manual, SCF Reference Manual for NonStop TCP/IP.
